No rock in Paris, it's better in Rome...

— It's not a joke, it's the refrain from my own song I recorded today... (el pueblo francese should not hate me for that - I used the worlds of John Lennon...) I mean that the word MUSICA is Italian in its very origin and sense. We, the humans, owe so much to Italy... I know the modern ages suppose a certain amount of craziness in everything you do. And craziness really is available regarding Daydream Nightmare. . . To be honest I liked the solo instrumental part of the guitar. As for the rest of the song... Hey, Baccambarus, who do you think you are? Did you forget you are Italian, i.e. compatriot of Verdi?... If I were you, I'd make a real point out of it.

This song is aptly named

— Not sure if this is serious or not. Disparate sounds , repetitious lyrics, heavily overproduced. This may be a joke. I'm still really not sure. I'd skip it.

Love it or Hate it....

— This is my second review of Baccambarus, a cornucopia of contradictions, their music defies conventional classification...I would say that they are a combination of Industrial and Grind. This isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I can appreciate it's feral nature. I think I have the same complaint as I had the last time...the music could be really cool and avant-garde but it lacks the musical cohesiveness to pull it all off. The recording of the instruments is better this time but I feel as if Baccambarus needs to spend a little more time wood-shedding the ideas then putting it into somethings a little more concise in their future endeavors.... Not terrible but need some more effort to be taken completely serious...

Good stuff!

— Let me begin by saying that everything I comment here is an opinion not a criticism. Ok with that being said let me say I have produced/engineered music for 25+ yrs. Lets begin shall we? Let me begin by saying I have an issue with your genre placement. Genre placement is so important because it allows fans and music industry professionals to find your music very easily. nI don`t hear rock or pop rock in your music nor the metal. I definetley think your genre would be better suited in the "DEATH METAL/SPEED METAL" genre of course this is based on my knowledge if I were placing you. Your music is lacking any kind or "BASS TONE" at all. The old saying is "BIG BASS = LOTS OF FANS) If I were engineering your music I would raise the level of the Bass guitar to right under the lead guitar and raise the level of the bass drum to right under the bass guitar. Also I would lower the level of your vocals to right over the lead guitar instead of all the way out front drowning out the music like it`s in the back ground. I really like the guitar work and the vocals this is stellar work! I think with a little remixing and mastering your hands. Remeber this is just my opinion not a criticism. you are the artist and it`s always your choice of how you want to sound. I wish you all the success and keep on pushing straight ahead.

Bold and Creative

— The best word I can think of for Baccambarus' song "Daydream Nightmare," is bold. By bold I mean that it is drastically different than the majority of music out there, and as such is not everyone's cup of tea. However it is very creatively arranged, and the concept is excellent. Fans of experimental metal and music that fits in comfortably outside of the box will be thrilled with this song.

Not bad

— I admit I'm not very keen on metal music but this song is not bad indeed, I appreciate the combination of electronics and real instruments. Very good guitar parts. It sometimes reminds of "the Crow" movie. Keep on doing stuff like this!

is there a fun side to metal?

— This was very interesting stuff... it was heavy like it should be to be considered metal , but not too serious and uniquely creative and original. ... MY question is what could this person do with a 10 % improvement to the current production - It's jarring it's loud and it's definitely entertaining - If I was ready to pull my hair out listening to this would send me to the ground laughing as it does just what metal should- shakes you up from the inside out ... here is the fun side of metal showing thru in vivd color

Review of Daydream Nightmare by Baccambarus.

— Well it's different enough that's for sure. All kinds of sounds. I'm not much for those cookie monster vocals, but that is just my taste. It seems to work on this song. The guitar technique is displayed. But the track is all over the place and a little boring after a while. There is a beat to it. My advice is realize that everyone is going to go for this. Good luck with it and have a cough drop on me.

Real Avangard Sounds

— Song of Anarchy. Maybe Days in Italy is no good last time. Maybe FC Torino plays so bad. May be Musicians food were rotten and dirty. Listening of this Composition is hard stuff. There is two-three interesting Themes however.

messy song!

— This music is not the music I listen to so it is difficult for me to give a positive review. I thought the song was messy and unstructured and very hard to listen to. With no lyrical content and hardly any melody. This for me was a nightmare for my eardrums. That is my honest opinion

Reviewing DayDream Nightmare

— Sound quality isn't the greatest and your mixes are not the greatest. It would have been nice to hear the vocals better as well.. Drums are very weak as well is the guitar.... Lead work needs improvement as well.. all in all you need to work on this tune a bit more.

casual offhand absurdity......

— ...some musos may hear only a lazily constructed throwaway tune with metal-cliché lyrical content.......however ,some would find these aspects integral to its charm ...this is dependent on the listeners appreciation of the absurd...as an antidote to stale pop music formulas which are written and produced by committees it is most welcome ......on listening you can hear a makeup that echoes one part beefheart, one part chrome and a heap of mr bungle...its a case of being either too conventional.....or too crazy...and this track is stuck in between...more chaos...or consequently more order is required in this opinion...to galvanise this song........

Very scary

— This song gave me nightmares. It's very odd, I don't think I've heard anything quite like it. Daydream Nightmare could be a cool concept. If I were you, I'd spend a little more time on actually writing different lyrics other than just saying the same thing the whole time. You obviously have the screaming down, props to you on that. But the song kind of just sounds like it was thrown together by a person with a minimal knowledge of audacity. Try to write a real song with hooks, choruses and verses. Have a strong backing guitar track that isn't random soloing. Throw that together and you have yourself a real song. I'm genuinely frightening after listening to this so if that's what you were going for, you've done a great job.

barely audible

— very hard to hear stuff clearly in this track. very thin file i think. when some instruments cut out I can hear things like guitar or voice or drums more, but in general hard to figure out where this track is going.
