Cheerleader

— What - this is a pretty insane track but I guess that's the disadvantage of receiving a song out of the blue for Review consideration like this. Baccambàrus is heavier than any of the music I've been asked to review so far. And what they do within the genre crosses over a few borders anyway. There's a strong driving riff that pushes the song along. The vocals are interesting; unclear whether it leans in growl-core or electronic distortion. Reminds me of some surreal artwork... I say the track is "insane" :) cos I'm trying to find this 'cheerleader' of which the title refers to. I'm listening again now to reflect more on it; the drums sounds a bit electronic which would seem out of place with the otherwise heavy rock sound of this track. It also serves to confuse this listener because when I hear anything (drums especially) that sounds synth-influenced, then I tend to move OFF of the 'rock' realm. Good use of the stops and various timings, making an interesting composition. What vocals there are, I can't make out. I see that the band is based in Torino, well either in english oppure in italiano, non ho capitto le parole. :) But that doesnt detract *too* much, since the vocals are truly minimal in this song. A heavy metal instrumental piece with only the lightest visits of vocal. Interesting and different! Later on in the song, it does fit very nicely into more the typical HeavyMetal sound. The piece is vague as to intention and direction. I can only take it as is, and it is like a (don't laugh!) pretty zen exploration in the metal area of consciousness of whatever the true story of 'cheerleader' is all about. Thanks! \,,/

Less is More !

— This has all the elements of a great metal song . My suggestion would be to rearrange it into a different format . Your Guitarist obviously has lots of talent . But that's just one element of the song . All the parts have to contribute equally or else it just starts to sound like just a big long hard to listen to solo . Keep that element of it way shorter . You got that part good . But its just one part of the song . Bring the lyric and singer more to the forefront . The Drums sounds are cool !Write another verse and a middle piece change up instead of another solo . It's really good and could be really great but right now it's incomplete with all the missing bits filled in with guitar . But loads o talent ! Good Luck ! And remember ... Just one persons opinion!

Not Good again

— Hi guys, don’t you listen to bands who make the similar music to you. First of all make better mixing, a lot better mixing, mastering. I think you have to volume up the bass more and give the bass player more ‘freedom’. I think you should re-record all of your songs again and then put them to review. Can’t you hear the vocal is too close to the microphone and it is too laud. Anyways, good luck and cheers, Donnie Donkov

Cheerleader

— I like the energy of this song. I'm not sure about the production. It seems hard to follow in some spots. A little chaotic in the timing, unless that is what your going for. The lead guitar is really good I just think it could have been put together a little different. I look forward to more.

Screaming Hot

— From the onset, this song gives you the impression that you are in for a very special treat. It is hard and heavy from the onset and laced with screaming guitar and powerful driving rhythm. The drummer is excellent and deserves a hand for his playing in and out of various time signatures and feels. This track deserves a listen.

Good rocker

— Cheerleader by Baccambarus is a good rocker but in my humble opinion the song is typical metal fare, the guitar and bass licks are lost in the mix. A note on the mix and mastering; I feel that the high end could be lower in the mix or mastering, the powerful guitar overpowers the mix leaving little room for everything else.

rock on

— i love the switch ups. you have a real trent reznor vibe. your riffs are solid. your vocals are haunting and your drums are pounding.that guitar solo in middle of the song is killer. keep up the good work my fellow musician. the world is our oyster. we just need to crack its shell, eat its flesh and disgrard the rubbish left behind. rock on. rock rock on . 4:57 of pure adrenaline food and nourishment. keep up the grind and never stop persuing your passion.

zapped

— not really certain that this is a linear descendant of frank zappa but it contains an awful lot of dna from the mother(s of invention) and zappa's guitar virtuosity-ministry and negativland also spring to mind, personally i would file this in the 'takes all kinds' folder but that doesn't minimize your talent.

Cheerleader?

— I'm sure somebody out there will like this but I am not the one. I found this hard to listen to. There are just so many things I could say but I won't because these guys obviously have worked very hard on this and deserve credit for the effort. I will say I found the tune to be very choppy and disconnected. Lead guitar was good but not great. I kept waiting to hear killer licks but instead only heard the typical hammerons. Vocals were also very typical for this genre. Nothing new here. Don't give up Baccambarus, I know you've got some good work in you. This just isn't it.
