Baccambarus - danger-o review

— It's lacking in solid bass is my immediate thought - I can here the bass but it hasn't been equ'd properly to bring out the real bottom end. The vocal effects (although subtle) created a little bit of a WTF is that - maybe less is more? Hey I understood the chorus - that's a bonus lyrically. Vocals were OK but (apart from the strange effect used now and then) they were very dry and might suit a little bit of reverb. Guitar solo started simple but went thru some nice scales and then went insane - best bit so far by far. I also like the little pauses in the song. I think this tune could benefit from some clever mastering or a remix with the enhancements I mentioned. As a song it was OK.

Good stuff guys!

— I like your sound and I think your going in the right direction. But I am kinda confused with your genre placement. Your sound has more of a Metal/Grunge sound to me. Genre placement is alot of a bands success especially when people are searching for music. Also I think you could use a little more overtone on the guitar Bass and drums sound Great! I love the music and with a few adjustment on the mix side it will be phenominal. I have produced music for 25yrs.+ I know a good piece of music when I hear it. This one is one of them. Again just my opinion and views based on my knowledge. But ultimately it`s your descision your the artist. Once again Great work and "KEEP ON PUSHING STRAIGHT AHEAD"

Half and half

— Musically this is going somewhere. The main riff is decent and the solo work seems to fit just fine. The vocals on the other hand are pretty rough. Not only are the poorly mixed in with the track, but the melody doesn't work. Regardless of the fact it seems to be in another language, if it works it works e.g. Ramstein, etc. I would suggest remixing the instrumentation, experiment with either a different vocalist, or try several takes to improve the melody. Finally, master the track correctly.

Almost

— I really like the groove of the song and the guitar sounds cool but It is hard to understand what you are singing about, which makes it frustrating after a while. Has a lot of potential you just need to let us know what the lyrics are about to complete the story. Have a great day and be blessed!

voice needs work!

— The main thing that lets this song down is the voice. It really is very bad and sounds like someone who lacks confidence completely in there voice.I have to say this is one of the worst songs I have heard on here.It suffers from a complete lack of originality and the rythm is very boring and repetitive. If this group want any success with there music a complete rethink is in order. A new vocalist would be a good start and someone who can write lyrics would be even better

Baccambarus Dangeer Review

— First of all I liked the opening riff. A decent balance on the drums and guitars. The vocals are very high in the mix and I am thinking that they need more life. The vocalist is holding back and needs to let it out. Once you have that put it into the mix and balance it better. You have some cool ideas, but currently this song needs some producing laid on it. There are many good programs on the market that will let you do this. Automation will give it some life. The ideas are good, just need some polish on it. And be carefyl with effects...sometimes too much. The other reco I would make is listening to your mix at a very low level. You should be able to hear everything at a low level and also take your mix and listen to it on everything from your car to a mono boom box. This will point you where you need to go with your mix. I spend about 80-100hrs on each of our songs and most of that time is spent mixing and producing.....recording the sounds is the easy part. Good Luck with your music and hopefully some of these hints will push you to an incredible mix....Cheers!

Danger-O

— Musically very engaging but the vocals are mixed very oddly, it quickly became distracting from the song as a whole. This song could benefit from the vocal track being completely redone. It sounds as if the vocalist is hiding in a room trying to hold back his voice, so the track sounds out of place, and then it is mixed right out front. I like the song, but not this recording of it.
